Campus Bible Fellowship will meet at 9:00 PM on Tuesday, January 15, at the campus house, 1232 Highland Ave. Come to the front door and meet some warm people.
) Get off to a good spiritual start this semester! Jessi has started a rumor about bringing ice cream. Check us out. Pastor Gus will leave the light on.
Here is a thought provoking video clip for you. How many people have “quit” church because their Christianity was based upon some type of “moralistic deism”? In other words, kids growing up in church are taught, “Do this, and don’t do that….. which pleases God and He will be happy with you….and then He will bless you and your life will work out.” Their relationship with God becomes one of performance, appearance, duty, and appeasement rather than true worship from a broken heart, gratefulness, and a spirit of humility.
For the rest of this semester, we will have our weekly meetings at 1232 Highland Ave in the CBF house. Join us for fellowship, snacks (something we could not do at CSU) and a Bible study. Come anytime after 5:30 PM on Thursday. There is room for 6 cars in the off-street parking area and at least 2 on-street spots (tags are required and we have them in the house).
BIG CHANGE IN PLANS! I learned this afternoon that we cannot meet in CSU 123 this Thursday and that no other room in CSU is available. So let’s have a party at the CBF house,1232 Highland Ave (next to the Lutheran Chapel and across from PA parking lot). Come to the front door or breezeway door. If driving, you can park in the driveway or on the street (tags are available). The discussion topic is as announced on the “Family Tree”. Come anytime after 5:30 PM.
This is an amazing component in THE FAMILY. We cannot overlook the importance, beauty and power of the role of “mother”. Where can you find this quote “the woman that you gave me…”?and who said it?
“Mother” is our topic for discussion in our FAMILY MATTERS! series this semester. Bring a Bible and and come to CSU 123 at 5:50 PM on Thursday.
